Compassion-based Civilization

The answer to the current genocide-based civilization is a civilization based on stewardship and caring for all sentient kind.

Using the term in a sentence:

  • The vision for a compassion-based civilization focuses on redesigning cities to be hospitable for liminal animals (wild or domestic species that live near humans, often relying on human environments or resources while not being fully domesticated or truly wild), abolishing all factory farming, and actively helping wild animals.
  • The British philosopher David Pearce portrays a futuristic path to a compassion-based civilization, where technology eliminates suffering for all sentient beings, including humans and non-human animals.
